Radio New Zealand's own jazzman Nick Tipping (bass) presents a show featuring raconteur & chanteuse, Lauren Armstrong. Expect a slick band and an engaging singer, presenting a dazzling set list of everything from jazz standards to old-school favourites, in a style reminiscent of some of the great singers of jazz history including Nat King Cole and Billie Holiday.

Born and raised in Wellington, Lauren Armstrong combines the worlds of jazz and burlesque. Having graduated from the New Zealand School of Music, she performs regularly in Wellington and around New Zealand with the vocal group “The Victory Dolls”, as well as leading a few of her own ensembles. A Wellington icon in her own right, she regularly works alongside many local luminaries in the New Zealand jazz scene.

The band also includes local heavyweights Oscar Laven (tenor), Zak Dikvert (guitar), and Greg Crayford (drums).
