After a successful first term in office, the esteemed officials of the Groove Council are seeking re-election at this year’s Groove Election, and a mandate to continue pushing dance-worthy policies and safeguard the future of Pōneke’s groove. Enlisting the help of local electorate groovers BADTAB & Clova, the council are composing a compelling campaign - vote with your feet and join us at Meow on October 3rd for an evening of hypnotic grooves of all kinds. Adored among the venues and boardrooms of Pōneke, 5-piece jazz-house disco band Groove Council means business. On their agenda is an uninterrupted dose of live, jazz-house dance music that’s sure to keep feet moving and hearts smiling all night long. BADTAB is an Aotearoa based neo-psychedelic project based in Wellington, who have finally arrived from the planet Glopnork to tell tales from the stars. Weaving kaleidoscopic synthesisers and swirling guitar strums with rock and jazz inspired drum beats, BADTAB will ensure an intergalactic journey like no other. Clova is a music producer and multi-instrumentalist making string-focused garage, jungle, and breaks alongside anything else that finds itself at home on the d-floor.
