Geoff Culverwell has long been one of New Zealand’s premier jazz performers. He is an international recording artist and a festival headliner who has featured in every jazz festival in New Zealand. He is renowned for playing a variety of jazz genres (swing, Latin, funk), ensuring wide appeal. Geoff’s performances include his soulful muted trumpet, mellifluous flugelhorn, flute and clever vocal lines. He is currently touring jazz clubs in New Zealand with his outstanding band, featuring Jess Deacon on vocals on some numbers (following the recent release of her first album).

The programme will feature a range of styles including some well-known jazz standards (Route 66, Misty, …). The Wellington Jazz Club is delighted to present one of the greats of the New Zealand jazz scene.
