Duality is defined as an instance of opposition or contrast between two concepts. Our aim with this new show series is to create just that within a live music event. Duality is a show that features a range of international artists from contrasting genres or sub genres, showcasing a diverse soundscape within one night that caters to multiple tastes and demographics.

For our first edition, we have teamed up with Audiology to present you 3 international artists from the UK, who each define their own sound within a sub-genre of Drum and Bass.

Featuring GLXY (Liquid), Simula (Minimal) & Jappa (Rollers).

GLXY Bio:

Having been cited as ‘Ones To Watch For 2016’ by UKF drum & bass duo GLXY have been consistently creating a buzz with their soul-drenched style of production.

It is evident from their sonics that both Tom and Jonathan have a background in music.The duo initially began working together during their time at the University of Leicester.

2016 brought the spine-tingling ‘Maze’ – released as part of MTA’s Winter Compilation in January 2016. This was followed up by their wonderful remix of “Empty Love” by Submotion Orchestra. They made their Spearhead Records debut with the “Expressions and Impressions” EP as well as releases and remixes on Hospital and Med School records. More recent times have seen a string of stellar releases on new home Shogun Audio including 2020s 'Research & Development' LP, and 2021s 'Method' & 'New Soul' EPs.

Simula Bio:

Simula consistently switches up the D&B formula, pushing sound design and synthesis to new levels. He tinkers in the world in between styles and genres, delving deeper into the creative chasm.

Jappa Bio:

London-born, Bristol-based Jappa is your man for a serious heads-down shockout in the dance. Coming correct with bruising subs, killa fx and destructive beats, this is a flow tougher than Ostrich steak and rowdier than a night on the tiles with your nan after one-too-many Jagerbombs.

Having sold out Bristol’s famous Lakota venue with his annual birthday bash alongside OCC partner in crime Lupo, and with a New Zealand and Australia tour lined up, 2022 is looking bright. Expect a blend of rollers and 21st century jungle primed to take the whole dancehall by storm.
