We're hanging out for the weekend to begin... Cue Michael Gray's 'The Weekend'.

This weekend we've got a mighty juicy lineup of live music performances, festivals and arts and culture events to keep you all entertained.


Singer-Songwriter Jo Meares plays at the Spotted Mallard this Friday, launching his new album 'Back to the World' with Simon Bailey and Shane O'Mara from Ponyface. Just down the road at Howler plays host to Sydney punk band, These New South Whales joined by Sydney's Party Dozen and Brisbane-based Techno producer Rebel Yell.

On Saturday Revolver Upstairs hosts Special Request, the new rugged alias for house and techno stalwart Paul Woolford. Inspired by the unruly conventions of UK pirate radio stations, the new project captures the raw energy and diversity of the illegal airwaves that have been an immeasurable influence on the artist over the years.


Experience a night of music, art and delicious food and wine at The Gallery this Friday with a special encore performance from multi-platinum award-winning songwriter Bec Caruana.

The Jungle Giants and British India headline FKA Festival this Saturday hosted at Hope Estate, NSW. Joining the headline acts are Ali Barter, The Belligerents, Good Lekker, Good Thanks, Grace Turner, Ivy, KINGSWOOD, Luca Brasi, Maddy Jane, Tired Lion, Trophy Eyes & Vacation.

If you're not a live music fan then Alex Williamson has you covered, bringing a crude yet hilarious solo show to The University of Wollongong UniBar.
