The Tarantinos

Inspired by the Writer/Director Quentin Tarantino, A Cat named Joe, Chuck Habit, Link Rumble & K Billy, a bunch of musicians from Melbourne formed The Tarantinos based on their fascination with the incredible eclectic soundtracks accompanying his films.

They play the best known, (and some lesser known) songs from the films Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown, From Dusk Till Dawn, Kill Bill, Death Proof, Inglourious Basterds and Django Unchained.

The Tarantinos embody all the hard hitting style of the films of which they play the soundtracks using audio samples from the films, sharp costumes and an attitude to match.

The Tarantinos bring their musical versatility and high energy to play various musical genres such as surf, blues, country, soul, rock & spaghetti western that accompany the films that have inspired them for many years. Classics like Misirlou, Surf Rider, Little Green Bag, Son of a Preacher Man, Stuck in the Middle, Girl You’ll be a Woman Soon and Chick Habit are just a few of the amazing selection The Tarantinos have to offer in their always growing repertoire of songs from these amazing cult films.

Moogy Morgan
Influenced by the French music scene of the 60’s and 70’s and artists such as Nina Simone, David Bowie, Jacques Brel, Serge Gainsbourg and Françoise Hardy, Déborrah “Moogy” Morgan combines classical fluency with jazz improvisation and psych-rock with the earthiness of the blues. This eclectic mix leads the way to story-telling songs in French and English as Moogy adopts piano, keyboards and her powerful, haunting voice.
