The Predators w/ Dopamine & Elko Fields
Indie rock luminaries The Predators, featuring the original lineup of Powderfinger, are set to release their debut album on October 15.
Everybody Loves features Ian Haug on guitar, John Collins as bass, and Steven Bishop on drums and vocals. The record was born out of Haug's own Airlock Studios earlier this year.
After a Powderfinger hiatus in 2004, Haug and Collins reconnected with Bishop and began writing music together as The Predators. Their debut EP Pick Up the Pace was released in 2006.
A lot has happened over the last 16 years in the trio's lives - musically and otherwise. This was always the album that the three guys wanted to do…had to do.
The years of writing and performing together and the gift of the pandemic grounding them in Brisbane has brought The Predators to the point of releasing their labour of love in Everybody Loves.
The first single "Lead The Way," out today, gives a taste of the quintessential alternative rock sound that can be expected from the long-awaited collection.
The crew are launching the record in style, with a gig at The Triffid the night of release, supported by the finest local rockers Dopamine and Elko Fields. Luke Peacock is among several special guests who will also be joining the band on stage.
