Racing at Taupo during the summer holiday season is hugely popular, with thousands flocking to the course for a great day at the races. It’s an unbeatably relaxed, family-fun day of country racing. A great day out for very little cost and best of all, everyone’s welcome!

Bars will be fully stocked with most popular beverages - NO BYO.  Bags will be checked on arrival.

It’s an easy drive from town with the Taupo Racing Club located just ten minutes from the CBD at Centennial Park on Centennial Drive.

With Taupo's uniquely free draining pumice soil it makes the track a favourite for racehorse trainers from all over the North Island and plenty of New Zealand’s best racehorses can be found oncourse.  So get along and have some fun!
