DOORS OPEN 6PM // MUSIC STARTS 8PM

The Spotted Mallard lights up for another star-studded night as we welcome Stephen Pigram on what is becoming his annual journey south out of his beloved Broome.

Stephen Pigram is a Yawuru singer/songwriter from Australia’s far northwest Kimberley region. He is well known for his work with his musical brothers in Broome’s much loved Pigram Brothers band and for the ‘saltwater country’ style of music they deliver.

Stepping out solo he presents country folk ‘n’ bluesy musical snapshots of his hometown Broome in the great Kimberley region. Stephen is a multi-instrumentalist playing acoustic guitar, harmonica, ukulele and stomp-box.

"I'd say my solo show brings all forms of music from my career together - I so enjoy playing solo and telling my stories through song." Stephen Pigram.

Stephen was a member of influential 80s Broome bands Kuckles and Scrap Metal. In the 90s he went on to become the musical director for the original production of the first Aboriginal musical Bran Nue Dae. Most recently he has produced and scored the feature film Mad Bastards which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. His song Feel Like Going Home is an anthem in the Kimberleys.

Stephen will play the whole show and will be joined by special guests throughout the night.

This will be a huge night. Make sure you book early..... all roads lead to The Spotted Mallard!
