Charm of Finches launch  "Wonderful Oblivion" at the Brunswick Ballroom on Friday 26th November.

For lovers of spine-tingling harmonies, Melbourne sisters Charm of Finches, Mabel and Ivy Windred-Wornes, will be launching their 3rd album "Wonderful Oblivion", released by NYC-based label AntiFragile Music on October 22..

The duo's last album "Your Company" won the 2020 Independent Music Awards' Best Folk/Singer-Songwriter Album and was nominated for the 2020 Music Victoria Best Folk Album Award and 2020 Australian Music Prize.

Charm of Finches recorded their third full length album "Wonderful Oblivion" with acclaimed Canadian producer Daniel Ledwell remotely over the first half of 2021. The album paints a cinematic journey over an emotional terrain awash with the duo's signature seamless blood harmonies, with Ledwell bringing a glossy indie-pop shimmer to their sound.

The duo will be joined by strings and percussion to expand to an ensemble for the evening.

"There is a sense of nostalgia, yearning and emotional rawness that is palpable in the sisters' music. The deep maturity in their writing is rare for such a young dup and their lyrical integrity is reminiscent to great including Joni Mitchell. With a knack for strong storytelling, layered harmonies and Irish folk influences, Charm of Finches are a rising indie folk act to watch."

1st Day Fresh

The harmonies from Charm of Finches are worth their own post, feature, and round of applause... They are delightful.”
