Melbourne musical stalwart Charlie Marshall brings the ultra soulful 8-piece Body Electric 'SOULKESTRA' to the Spotted Mallard for a special Xmas show to nourish the mind and body with sublime lyrics and propulsive grooves. 

Support is from two new up and coming young bands. ANTARCTIC BEACH – a bunch of Brunswick locals featuring Louie Marshall, Oskar Summers Dixon, Zac Joan and Xavier Venville who mash together a mess of styles into a vibrant original brew. THE BIRD WATCHERS - jazz devotees of a Charlie of the Parker variety, interpreting some of the bebop legend’s greatest tunes.

CHARLIE MARSHALL is a key figure in Melbourne’s post-punk scene starting out with legendary 80s blues punks HAREM SCAREM before forming the Body Electric in 1992 with like-minded fellow travelers from the Dirty Three, Beasts of Bourbon and the Avalanches.
