Let’s Back Up a Bit: Conversations with Pioneering Kiwi Christian Musicians is a new collection of interviews by Brett Wilson. This concert celebrates the release of the book and features three of the bands interviewed, Hoi Polloi, the Revs, and Derek Lind. Other artists interviewed include Steve Apirana, Phil Joel (Drinkwater/Newsboys), David Garratt (Scripture in Song) and Stephen Bell-Booth. Each artist gives give a ‘warts and all’ snapshot of the Christian music scene in New Zealand in the ‘70s, ‘80s, and ‘90s.
